We’ll call you or a designated adult contact from your Emergency Information Form so that your child can be picked up as soon as possible from the Playmate Center. While waiting to be picked up, your child will rest quietly, away from other children.
Our facilities and outdoor play areas are required to have secure entries and exits that are maintained by an electronic entry system along with surveillance cameras. Only individuals authorized by you are allowed to pick up your child from the Playmate Center. All employees are required to have undergone background checks prior to employment.
No. Above and Beyond Playmate Center’s dining program is an integral part of our curriculum and learning. We provide an assortment of healthy, nutritional foods and snacks for the children to eat each day. Menus will be posted so that you can see what is being served.
Due to the high number of children with peanut allergies, we do not serve peanut products. If your child has a specific allergy, please list them on our dietary restriction form so that we can make appropriate food substitutions.
All Above and Beyond Playmate Center teachers must meet or exceed the state requirements for child care providers and are required to receive ongoing professional training annually. We also require background checks through local, county, state and/or federal agencies prior to employment.
We do not use physical or verbal punishment under any circumstances. We use positive guidance and re-direction to acknowledge children’s feelings and emotions and provide them with social scripts, problem solving techniques, peaceful activities and/or choices and activities geared toward their interests.
Your toddler will participate in receptive based learning experiences while receiving positive, nurturing guidance from the teachers. We have a center based learning environment where your toddler can play and explore while developing social/emotional, communication, subconscious skills.
Yes. We endorse an open-door policy and encourage families to visit by appointment or by webcam app. We also schedule family/teacher conferences twice a year to discuss your child’s progress, but you can request a conference with the Director at any time.
We’ll gather information from you about your child’s toilet-training habits and routine and will work with you and your child to be consistent with what you’re doing at home. We will not force any child to use the toilet, nor will we punish children for not using the toilet.
Yes, weather permitting, we take children outside daily. Children should be dressed appropriately for playing on our playground or taking group walks within our designated safe areas.
Yes. They are located in all Above and Beyond Playmate Center classrooms. These cameras the parents can access via mobile or desktop apps. For the most accurate information on classroom cameras, contact our Playmate Center directly to learn about camera availability and policies.
Yes. It is best to schedule an appointment. If you are concerned about your child transitioning on their first visit, call your center to check on the best times to come in to visit.
Yes. You can register on-site or online as it just takes a few minutes. Or, if you like, you can print our Registration Form and bring it with you already filled out. Click on your center location to find the appropriate form(s) or link for online registration. Check your center’s rates for their one-time registration fee.
Absolutely. Diapers are welcomed. If your child is in diapers, bring some spares. What if my child is potty training? If your child is toilet training, bring extra clothes in case they are too busy playing to stop.
Snacks of 100% apple juice or water and crackers are complimentary at 10am, 3pm and 8pm. Meals can be purchased for lunch at noon or dinner at 6pm. Or, you are welcome to bring a meal or snack with you. Please, if possible, do not pack any products with peanuts.
